The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is a nonprofit professional society
representing the interests of interior designers
and the interior design community. The society
is lead by a volunteer board of directors that
includes the society's president,
president-elect, and immediate past president.
Daily operations are carried out by a small
staff housed in the society's headquarters in
Washington, D.C.
IIDA
The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is a professional networking
and educational association of more than 10,000 members in 8 specialty Forums,
9 Regions, and more than 30 Chapters around the world committed to enhancing
the quality of life through excellence in interior design and advancing interior
design through knowledge .
NCIDQ
The National Council for Interior Design Qualification serves to identify to the public those interior
designers who have met the minimum standards for professional practice by passing the NCIDQ
examination.
AIA
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the professional
organization that helps architects serve the publicıs needs and
builds awareness of the role of architects and architecture in
American society. Over 90% of architect-designed construction in
the United States is handled by AIA members.
